Atelier Aimée is the leading company in Italy for the creation and production of bridal dresses with franchising boutiques and retailers all over the world.
Multi-language website with collections, pictures, videos, company profiles, news (easily upgradable by client), retailers list connected to database to allow sales department the possibility to manage it easily. Web-app for full mobile compatibility. First positions on Google for important Italian keywords as "wedding dresses" and "bridal couture".
Important part of my job is finding solutions and offering my customers the best ones to reach expected results optimising resources. I agreed with Atelier Aimée's Marketing Dept. to develop the website with Wordpress (open-source content management system) starting from a layout template as a base and tailoring this to create an elegant frame for visual and textual contents. The choice of using existing online resources to manage multi-lingual contents was made to keep focus and resources on the most important parts of the project: Search Engine Optimisation and a bespoke collections gallery (described later, see next project).
The company owns a domain with an Italian extension, aimee.it and, in the previous website, English language was under the same domain. We agreed to use a .com domain for the English language to avoid penalisation due to search engine geo-localisation. My work consisted in a research for keywords with medium-low competition (in Italian and English), contents alteration inserting these, an in-page optimisation, then a performance improvement of page download times and a link-building strategy to increase the number of links from other influential websites. This followed by a constant analysis of statistical data about website visits and on lists of results returned by a search engine on these selected keywords.
Franchising boutiques and retailers are stored in a database to allow the Sales Dept. to manage them quickly and easily from a backend panel and permit users to search the closest one selecting the region first, then the city. This enhances a dynamic and efficient user experience.
